Fellow coaches - here are the signs that someone is not ready for coaching yet.

❌ They talk a lot and barely listen.
❌ The talk is full of stories of why they are the victim. 
❌ No matter how logical and practical an explanation and plan you give, they don’t take action because the wall of excuses is so high that your words just don’t reach them.
❌ They haggle with you on your price and expect 10X return on what they pay.
 
After 11 years of doing this work, my instincts are now sharply honed to recognise who is ready and who needs to do more inner work before they can even start coaching - in my case, business coaching.

Why am I sharing this today?

Because going against my instincts, I recently took on a client who I knew wasn’t ready. I let my ego and a scarcity thought pattern lead me down a path I knew was wrong.

As expected, the outcome of this engagement was disappointing. And this was totally on me.

Here are the lessons I had to learn again.

✅ To never ignore my gut.
✅ To not let my ego come in the way of truth.
✅ To not be driven by a scarcity mindset.
✅ To not let the fear that aligned opportunities are not out there, influence my decisions.

And this was a reminder for me: the journey of self-development is one that never ends. We keep learning, keep healing and keep growing all through our life.
